Nov 22, 2009 · 2006 A6 fuel gauge problem. I brought my 06 A6 3.2 in for a fuel gauge problem on Friday. The car would go from full tank to zero. They replaced the harness since it was a known problem with our cars and it did not fix the problem. well at least I got a loaner out of the deal. The warranty is up in 1,000 miles.
Mar 1, 2014 · The battery on the car was the original so it's done 8 years and about time to replace it. The first job was to remove the old battery, the clamp holding the battery was was badly corroded so will need to be replace but I did manage to free it off and reuse it until I get a new one.
Press the back cover of the key using a small screwdriver. Pop up the back cover at the end of the fob. Remove the back cover, you should find the battery inside. Pull out the battery, be sure to remember the orientation. Replace the battery in the proper position. Put the cover back on the key fob.
